Tournament Layout

  • Round robin Tournament with a 4 game minimum
  • Games will be 3 periods, consisting of a 12 minute stop-time for regular games
  • Final games will be 3 periods, consisting of 15 minute stop-time
  • In case of a tie during a NON-FINAL game, the game will end. Championship games that end in a tie, will have a 3 round shootout, and if the game is still tied after the 3 shooters per side, then we will enter a sudden death shootout and will continue till one team wins
  • Each win is worth three (3) points, and in case of a tie, one point will be awarded to both teams

Playoffs

The top two teams with the most points in each division, will play for the championship of that division. In the case where more than two teams have the same number of points after the round robin play, the tie-breaker will be:

  • Head to Head results between the two teams in question
  • Goal differential
  • Higher number of goals scored
  • Coin flip by the commissioner

Scorekeeping

We will need help with score keeping and running the clock. We are asking if your team will please ask 2 people to help! We will set up a schedule where your team will be responsible for score keeping, either the game before yours or the game after. If this is something that your team can really NOT do, then please let us know soon. We appreciate all of your help with this!
